On September 21, an X user reposted a close-up photo of Anne from the Preview Ball 2026 with the line "Retokada yarn? Exhibit A - anak." In plain terms, the post implied that Anne had work done on her face, and it dragged her child into the joke too.

Anne answered past midnight on September 22. She said she usually doesn't give comments like this "the time of the day," but this time she did:

Then came the part that made her reply go viral. She told the basher she didn't know who hurt them or why they were so angry with her, but she was still sending kindness their way.
