Chloe San Jose Refuses to Stay Quiet for 'Respect Your Elders': 'If She Only Showed Respect'

The Yulo family issue is back on everyone's feed, and this time Chloe San Jose is taking on one of the most Filipino rules of all: respect your elders, no matter what.

What did the netizen tell Chloe?

A Facebook page called The Anxiety Nurse posted that you should never let anyone disrespect your own mother. The post said it's okay if Chloe and Angelica don't get along, but Chloe should just stay quiet, because even if elders are sometimes wrong, you still need to show respect to your partner's parents. It ended with: "That is what class, character and decency are."

How did Chloe San Jose respond?

Chloe shared the post on her own Facebook and did not hold back.

Well why don't you apply that to the "mother", if she only showed respect i would've given her 10x more respect back.

She said people are too used to being the "BIGGER PERSON," and that she won't apply that to herself. For Chloe, refusing to let anyone step on her is what actually shows class, character and courage. She ended her post by saying more women should step into their "GIRL POWER."

What is the Yulo family issue about?

Quick recap for those who missed it. The tension between Carlos Yulo's camp and his mother Angelica went public in August 2024, right after Carlos won two gold medals at the Paris Olympics. Chloe, his longtime girlfriend, has been in the middle of it ever since.

This September, things heated up again online. LionhearTV reported that Chloe also traded words with Carlos's grandmother, and that Carlos said he prefers not to invite his parents to his future wedding, a decision Chloe said she respects. In separate posts, Chloe also brought up Carlos's younger brother, gymnast Karl Eldrew Yulo.

As of writing, we have not seen a direct public reply from Angelica to Chloe's latest post.
