The sister answered politely that he was born with microtia and told the netizen they could search it up. The netizen then replied with a joke that made fun of it.

Klea said she does not usually respond to this kind of thing, but since someone chose to be ignorant, she would use the moment to spread awareness. Her explanation:
Microtia is a birth defect in which the outer ear is not formed or is missing. It's not something that happened "to" someone, and it's nothing to be ashamed of.
What did Klea say to the basher?
She stayed direct and kept it about the principle. She said you do not have to like someone or their family, but making fun of a person with a disability is an entirely different level of ignorance:
My papa's disability is not a punchline, a joke or something you get to use to attack someone else.
She also said:
Making fun of someone's disability doesn't make you funny or cool.
