Sam Milby and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray called off their engagement in 2025, and somehow Moira's name got dragged into the issue. Sam used to be a close friend of Moira, so close that she called him "Kuya," which likely fueled the speculation about her involvement.
During her sit down with PEP at the Academy of Rock in Quezon City this September 17, Moira was asked directly how things stand between her and Sam.
What did Moira Dela Torre say about the accusations?
She did not hold back:
Hindi po talaga. Iba po yung ma-issue ka sa ibang lalaki. Pero yung mai-issue ka sa kuya mo, medyo, parang hindi ko po alam kung bakit.
In English, Moira basically said it is one thing to be linked romantically to some random guy, but being accused over her own "kuya" left her confused about why it even became an issue. She was even more direct moments later:
Walang katotohanan. Hindi po ako third party kay Kuya Sam at kay Cat.
Meaning, there is no truth to it and she was never a third party between Sam and Catriona. Moira added that she knows what really happened between the two of them, but said, "that's not my story to tell," and that she would rather protect them both than share the details.

Sadly, no. The issue reportedly caused a real rift between them. Moira confirmed this herself:
Opo, kasi nagpa-interview po siya, e. Hindi na kami friends.
She was referring to an interview Sam gave to ABS-CBN News back in February 2025, where he directly said he and Moira were no longer friends, though he did not detail the reason. Moira admitted she cried over hearing that from someone she once considered family in showbiz.

After almost two years away from concerts due to personal struggles, Moira is gearing up for her fourth major concert, "Where It All Started," happening at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on October 4, 2026. Guests include Ogie Alcasid, Adie, Johnoy Danao and December Avenue. In the same interview, she also opened up about moving forward after her annulment from estranged husband Jason Marvin Hernandez, and her hope to eventually reconcile with some of the friends who drifted away during that difficult time.
