Friendship breakups hit different. Nobody gives you closure, there's no "official statement," and sometimes all you have is an unfollow button. Moira dela Torre knows the feeling, and she finally talked about it.

It started in January 2025, when Moira unfollowed everyone on Instagram. Her following count went to zero, and it still is. Around that time, netizens also noticed that some of her former Cornerstone Entertainment colleagues had reportedly unfollowed her. PEP.ph named Sam Milby, Yeng Constantino, Erik Santos and TJ Monterde among them.
At the September 17 presscon for her concert, Moira didn't name anyone. PEP.ph didn't name anyone either when it asked her about it in its Real Talk interview afterward.
What did Moira say about her former friends?
She was honest that it cut both ways:
I got hurt, but I've hurt people also. And that's something that I'm never gonna deny.
She added that she loves them all dearly and has already forgiven them. But forgiving is only half of it for her:
But I also want the chance to ask for forgiveness.
Moira also said one of the most important things she learned in the last few years is how to say sorry, something she thinks a lot of us struggle with.
Why was Moira quiet for so long?
In her words, "sugatan pa, e." She was still wounded. She said she is not fake, so she didn't want to face the press until she was ready. She also said she is protective of the people she loves and didn't know how to talk about them.
She joked that she used to avoid reporters because "madaldal po kasi ako." Then she got serious and said she needed time to heal quietly, on her own.

The part that hits home
Most of us have that one friend we drifted from after a messy season. It's easy to only remember how they hurt us. Moira's point is harder: sometimes we hurt them too, and saying sorry first takes more guts than waiting for their apology.
