Anita is in the middle of decluttering her family home when her daughter Kath discovers her mom's old teenage dream of becoming a singer and songwriter, a plan that was set aside when Anita got pregnant with Kath at only 17 and later married Kath's father, Maki. Now separated from Maki and living as a recluse, Anita cannot even bring herself to attend her high school barkada's upcoming 25th reunion.
The story takes a fun turn as Anita finds herself imagining a multiverse of what-if realities where she pursued a different path from marriage and motherhood.
Who stars in Muli?
Kakki Teodoro leads as Anita, and PEP.ph's review calls her the undeniable star of the show, praising her stamina as she appears in almost every scene while nailing dance numbers, costume changes and emotional monologues. Janine Teñoso plays Kath in her theater debut, and stand up comedian Baus Rufo makes his own stage debut as Mito, one of Anita's high school barkada.

The production leans hard into millennial memory lane, from Britney Spears needle drops to the very specific sound of dial up internet. Younger audiences get their own references too, with nods to TikTok, content creators, P-pop and K-pop fangirling woven into the story.
The soundtrack, composed by Gawad Buhay winners Nica del Rosario and Matthew Chang, is another highlight, described as catchy and heartwarming enough to give you Last Song Syndrome long after the curtain falls.
