Who is in the cast of Pee Mak PH?
Wilbert Ross takes on the Mak role, with Bea Binene as his mysterious wife. Joining them as Mak's barkada are Vandolph, Jairus Aquino, TJ Valderrama, and Cup of Joe frontman Gian Bernardino, who is introduced in the film. Why is this adaptation such a big deal?
Wilbert Ross has reportedly been called "Pee Mak" by friends for years because of his resemblance to original star Mario Maurer, so landing the role feels almost too fitting. Both Wilbert and Bea have spoken about feeling the pressure of stepping into roles so many people already love, since the 2013 original is still considered one of the best regional horror comedies ever made. Recasting a beloved regional hit always comes with risk though, since fans of the original can be picky about tone, chemistry, and comedic timing.
